Background
John’s work focuses on classic country, rock and roll and political events. His music photos have been published on Rolling Stone’s website and in the magazine, where his son Patrick worked from 2010 to 2021. John’s published work has included photos of Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Chuck Berry, Billy Joe Shaver, B.B. King, Margo Price, Jack White and the Beach Boys.
Back in the day, John was photography editor of the Yale Daily News, and had the good fortune to be in a seminar taught by Life Magazine photographers: Gjon Mili, Bill Eppridge and George Silk. In recent years, he has taken several courses at MECA and Maine Media Workshops.
John supports the lifestyle working as a health lawyer in Portland, Maine.
